About us.

We provide timeless and affordable trailwork to our friends and partners. Our crew is a tool for the transfer of the craft and story of White Mountain trailbuilding to new generations of craftspeople. We aim to be good neighbors in our community and good stewards in our mountains

Our Mission.

Our Members.

  • Colin Pogue

Colin grew up in a neighborhood next to the Appalachian Trail in Hanover, NH. Running, Nordic skiing and hiking keep him near maps and trails. He spent three seasons in the White Mountains with the AMC trail crew, then apprenticed with Peter S. Jensen & Assoc trail builders, bounced around between other northeastern trail crews and then finally embarked on helping to start and run the vision of TFC, LLC.

  • Hunter Scott

Hunter grew up in Athens, ME, twenty minutes north of Skowhegan. He was no stranger to trail work when he joined AMC trail crew, having been employed by Baxter State Park and the Student Conservation Assocation. He has become a phenomenal quarry technician, well-versed in persuading 800lb rocks through the pucker brush. Hunter’s carpentry experience keeps him detail oriented in the woods. In the winter he floats between Maine and New Hampshire, enjoying hunting, maple sugaring and smelting.

  • Ben Scuralli

Ben is a tough Jersey bloke through and through. He migrated north to New Hampshire where he has worked the soils of many a trail; first with the Randolph Mountain Club, and now with the TFC. When not cooking huge portions for his hungry woods crew or busting up rocks, Mr. Scuralli can be heard singing Springsteen from the balcony of his Lancaster, NH flat.

  • Marc Roberge-Pika

Marc grew up in New Jersey, making frequent visits north to the ADK’s in upstate NY with family. Before joining TFC, they got their start with the Adirondack Mountain Club's professional trail crew fresh out of college and spent four summers as a crew member and then crew lead gaining an eye for the repair of eroded trails. Marc loves to build with native rock, anything from staircases to retaining walls. When they're not on hitch, they enjoy trail running, biking, reading, and writing poetry.
